Valeriia Laryoshyna, 17, Science and Math Academy

My name is Valeriia Laryoshyna. I am seventeen years old and in twelfth grade at the Science and Mathematics Academy in Aberdeen High School (AHS). I first heard of TechBrick at the Gains in the Education of Math & Science (GEMS) program during the summer of 2013. The program immediately caught my interest because it provided me with a chance to learn new techniques and applications of technology. Along with my interest in robotics, I have been swimming for eight years and am currently swim for the AHS swim team and enjoy painting, programming, jewelry designing, and 3D modeling. TechBrick will make it, “it” referring to the team dream of winning world championship and my dream of becoming a proficient computer and electrical engineer, happen by combining the teamwork of talented students who teach each other new knowledge to create magnificent robots that effectively complete the First Robotics Challenge for 2014 and winning the competition.
